TsingTao brewery was founded in 1903 by German settlers in Qindqao. This brewery is part owned by brewing giant AbInbev, which is currently expanding to have new breweries on the Chinese mainland. The company runs over 40 breweries and malt plants in 18 provinces across China (The Beer Book, 2008).
