Anheuser-Busch
Anheuser-Busch
Anheuser-Busch is located in St. Louis Missouri, immigrated by a large number of German settlers, these settlers brought their love of beer with them to the U.S. The brewery began in 1852 by a man named George Schneider, who gave it the name Bavarian Brewery.
This initial attempt at the brewery did not work and it was not until 1860 that Eberhard Anheuser took over operations in 1860. This local brewery launched itself into national status with the assistance of Anheusers son-in-law Adolphus Busch in 1864, thus renaming the brewery Anhheuser-Busch Brewing Association in 1879. A year later Anheuser passed away and Busch became the President.
In 2008, the company was bought out by InBev and now goes under the Brewing Group Ab-Inbev. Creating the largest brewing group in the world (The Beer Book, 2008).
According to WBC:
Anheuser-Busch is an icon in the beer world, they are a large brewery that brews "the King of Beers" Budweiser. They are a real icon in St.Louis, as the Stadium of the St. Louis Cardinals is named Busch Stadium.
