Did you know?:
"Duvel" means "devil" in dutch (Antwerp dialect).
The bottle is designed to encourage to formation of foam as the beer is poured.
After World War 2, when hops were scarce in Europe, Coriander was used as a substitute to ensure the production of Duvel. This was exceptional and no longer the case, but the use of coriander led to the production of La Chouffe, a different beer of the Duvel Moortgat brewery.
Duvel was mentioned as one of Michael Jackson's, international beer expert, top 5 beers in the world.
The yeast, used to brew the Duvel, is imported from Scotland.
